Your Office is Killing You….Fight Back!

Work Kills

There’s a killer lurking.  You look at it everyday, it seems harmless, but it’s anything but.  It’ll sit there, biding its time, just waiting for a moment of weaknes….then it strikes.  That monitor, mouse, and desk you sit at all day are doing you harm.  They’re slowly, but steadily killing you.  They’re hurting your joints, impairing your eyes, and stressing you out (and possibly making you fat!), and it’s time you put your foot down and say “Enough is enough!”.  Okay..maybe I’m getting a little over-dramatic, but you get what I’m saying, right?

When we sit at a desk for hours on end each day, our bodies become less agile, less flexible, less fit, and we become more stressed.  This is certainly not how we as humans we’re built to live, but in our modern society, sometimes there’s just no way around it.  Succumbing to this kind of torture work doesn’t mean you need to give up your grip on sanity or a healthy body.

Studies have shown that as little as 20-30 minutes of exercise, done in your cubical or office if you’re so lucky, can make a huge difference in your mental and physical well-being.  With that in mind, take a look at our quick, 20-minute office yoga class designed to help you restore mental clarity, sharpen your thinking abilities, and loose up stiff joints.  While it may seem like it isn’t doing much, if you can get yourself into a routine of doing this type of workout, just a few days a week, the benefits will amaze you.

By taking a quick office yoga break during the day, you’ll better prepare yourself for your evening workout that follows.  Use this as a supplement to everything else you do and keep your body in tip-top shape, all hours of the day.
