Share It Fitness Has Launched!

Yup, you read that correctly folks.  After many months of hard work and late nights, we are finally ready to launch Share It Fitness to the world.  It’s been a long time coming, and we really appreciate each and every one of you who stuck by us over the past 18 months.  We believe we’re on the verge of changing the way fitness instruction is delivered forever, and we’re excited to share it all with you guys.

Where are things at now? 

We are currently in our beta release, which means we’ll be spending the next few months doing intensive testing and gathering feedback from all three thousand of you who signed up to be one of our beta testers.  With this feedback, we’ll be updating features, adding things you’d like to see more of, and generally tightening things up before our national launch. 

As a beta tester, what is available to me?

As one of our beta testers you have full access to everything our site has to offer, with the exception of the customized workout plan which we will be unveiling later this summer.  That means you will have access to all of our OnDemand workout videos, our ‘Ask a Pro’ feature which allows you to directly connect to live health and fitness professionals, and all of our robust fit tools and community features.  So go ahead, get your pump on, burn some calories, and let us know which fitness classes are your favorite.  We’re constantly filming new instructors and new classes, so your feedback will go a long way in helping us deliver the content YOU want.

I’m not a beta tester but I want to be.  What do I do?

Not a beta tester?  No problem.  Head over to ShareItFitness.com and sign up for a Bronze membership.  From there, simply earn 1,000 FitPoints by doing things like completing your profile, posting in the forums, referring friends, submitting your own workouts, etc. and you’ll earn your beta tester status, and all of the premium features that go along with it.  For more information on FitPoints and how to start racking them up, check out our FAQ page.

What the heck are you talking about?  I thought this blog was Share It Fitness.

Ah yes, I’m sure there are some of you out there who have no clue what I’m talking about.  While you are correct in that this blog is a part of Share It Fitness, it is only one small part in the big picture.  We have spent the past 18 months building an interactive and robust OnDemand fitness provider.  We’ve filmed hundreds of group fitness classes and DVD-style workouts that are available at the touch of a button.  We’ve assembled a team of doctors, physical therapists, nutritional scientists, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors who sit on our ‘Ask a Pro’ panel, waiting to offer you expert advice and opinion.  We’re all about community and have a steadily growing user base of other like-minded individuals ready to help motivate and inspire you.  We’ve got so much more in store for you in the coming months, we’re sure you’re going to find Share It Fitness to be the most advanced, interactive, and effective internet fitness tool on the planet. 

Remember, we’re all in this together, and Share It Fitness is only as strong as you guys make it.  Our company goal is to make top-notch fitness instruction more accessible, convenient, and affordable than ever before.  Access to great instructors and fitness classes shouldn’t be a luxury, but a right.  Come join us for free and help us change the way fitness instruction is looked at forever.

After college, Matt started his fitness career working in the trenches as a personal trainer for a big corporate gym. It was here he saw how impersonal Big Fitness really was.     I’ve tried going to the site a couple of times a day and it keeps timing out.  Tried different browsers and nothing works…

      Good afternoon Barry.  What URL are you attempting to reach?  We have not had any other reports of users having issues accessing the site today.  I have been on it most of the day as well.  If you are still having issues accessing, please clear your cache and try again. If that doesn’t work, shoot us an email using the contact form above and I’ll personally work with you to get you up and running.  Thanks!

    i also having trouble registering it says session timed out try again later refreshed and started over and the same thing

      Hey Diana…I apologize that you are having issues with registration…our server is getting hit pretty hard this week because so many people are registering at the same time.  Please try once more and let me know if you still have issues.  The easiest and fastest way to register is to use the “Sign In With Facebook” button on the homepage.  This will instantly create a profile for you that will carry over some of your required account data from Facebook like your name/email and a profile picture which will save you the time of doing it later.  Once signed-in that way, you can get a Beta membership by going to Network on the navigation tab, and clicking “Upgrade Membership”.  The rest of your profile details can be added by going to Edit Profile and filling in all of the blank fields!  Hope this helps, please don’t hesitate to reach out on our Contact form if you need further assistance!

    I was able to access everything just fine, we switched to Charter Monday, and I have not been able to access the site since, any ideas?
